Western Railroad; a brasstop, bellbottom lantern with a red cast
globe from the New York Central & Hudson River Railroad. Finally,
here are three pictures showing why railroadiana shows will never
be replaced by the internet. The social connections and comaraderie
of the hobby are as important (or more important) to many folks than
the collectibles themselves. From left to right: Steve Korbus and
his daughter; Chuck Dallos and his mom, complete with homemade apple
pie; and Brian and Jill Maiher who were recently married and who
were presented with a wedding cake at the show. We wish
them all the best! |
